Ordering & Timing

Once your order is received, I will contact you at the email address you provide with the order to ask for reference photos of your pet, discuss color options, and any special requests for border width (such as a larger border to make it visible in framing, or no border for float framing).

After I receive your photos, I will reach back out with sketches for your approval/feedback prior to beginning the final piece.  You will also receive an email when the piece is complete and has been shipped.

Please allow 3-4 weeks for the entire process between the time I receive your photos and send the completion confirmation email.  Larger work can take longer and I will give you an estimate at the time of purchase.  If you have an urgent timeline (birthdays, holidays, etc.), please use the "Contact" form to disucss prior to purchase.

Shipping Information

Final artwork is packaged in a clear sleeve with a foam backing board, and shipped in a padded envelope.  Orders are shipped via USPS (United States Postal Service).  Standard shipping is included in the listed price.

Framing Considerations

The mat included with store bought frames is typically 1/4" smaller than the stated size, for example a 4"x6" will include a mat with an opening of 3.75" x 5.75".  The composition of your drawing will take this into account to ensure that no part of your pet is obscured by a standard mat.

You may wish to frame your piece in a slightly larger mat, allowing some of the surrounding border to show.  I will typically leave a border of 1/2" to 1" on all sides for matting; however, if you would like to skip the mat all together and have a wider border that will fill the frame, I'm happy to cut the paper larger.

Another great option for works on paper is float framing.  This method of framing also skips the mat, but the work is mounted to a backing so that the edges are visible in the center of the frame.  When float framing, the work may include a small border, or cover the paper edge-to-edge.  I'm happy to accommodate any of these options and we can discuss this when the sketch is sent.
